After more than 40 years, the City of Hartford passed new housing code that will, if properly implemented, make it harder for slumlords to do business in the city!
Mayor Luke Bronin made the special announcement just minutes after it passed at the founding of GHIAA. The new housing code will require, among other changes, all landlords who own buildings with 3 units or more to be licensed to operate in the City of Hartford.
Resident leaders from the No More Slumlord Campaign worked closely with the City to create this new policy.
