Just Cause Eviction Protections

GHIAA is supporting HB 6889, which would expand Just Cause eviction protections to tenants of all ages and disability statuses in CT.

A multifaith, multiracial team of GHIAA leaders is crafting an initiative called “Broadening Understanding, Deepening Solidarity,” or BUDS for short. Our first offering will be a four-part series in Spring 2025, followed by issue-specific trainings later in the year on antisemitism, anti-Muslim bigotry, and racism.

Our HAT leaders have convened in several towns across Greater Hartford, and are engaging in training and leadership development in order to be well-equipped to advocate for more affordable housing in their own communities. Trainings so far have included basics of organizing, power analysis, and affordable housing 101.
