Asking all Superintendents in Greater Hartford to commit to:
Implementing 1 anti-racism training during the 2019-2020 academic year for a cohort of teachers, staff, and/or administrators in a manner, size, and duration that works for your district*.
Developing a district plan to implement on-going anti-racism professional development for all teachers, staff, and administrators and to commit to having the plan (not the implementation) complete by August 1, 2020*.
Work in partnership with other districts by assigning an appropriate district representative to participate in bi-monthly learning and support for district leadership provided by GHIAA.
*To date the following superintendents and districts have committed and will be at the founding to publicly commit to the above asks: Hartford, CREC, Farmington, Newington, Bloomfield, West Hartford, Simsbury, and Manchester.
